Australian Army help restore Rockhampton Airport. Following a request by the Rockhampton Disaster Coordination Cell, the Australian Army's 17th Construction Squadron, 6th Engineer Support Regiment has provided assistance to the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services remove flood barriers at Rockhampton Airport. More than 80 personnel, 43 vehicles and heavy equipment from the 6th Engineer Support Regiment were landed ashore at Keppel Bay Marina by via 35th Water Transport Squadron landing craft (LCM8) working seamlessly with amphibious ship HMAS Choules.
