Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Teamwork and Skills program. (2.7 mins)
Australian Defence Force Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Teamwork, and Skills is a recovery program for Australian Defence Force members who are wounded, injured or have become ill while serving. Held over four weeks, the Program offers a unique opportunity to gain an introduction to the arts-based disciplines of Rhythm, Visual arts, Creative Writing, and Performance. With a focus on restoring faith in a team environment while boosting self-confidence and 're-finding' their voices, course attendees have reported significant benefits with redefining their needs, discovering respect for themselves and for many, a renewed purpose in life. Since the ADF ARRTS inception in 2015, more than 180 current and former serving Defence members have participated in the program. All participants are mentored by an expert in their particular creative stream.
