Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Training and Skills program (3.43 mins)

The ADF Arts for Recovery, Resilience, Training and Skills (ARRTS) program assists Defence personnel experiencing health and wellbeing issues, and for them to become involved and engaged in a variety of specialised creative streams. There are currently up to four creative streams, which include music and rhythm, acting and performance, visual arts and creative writing. This four-week program was the first for the year, and the next will be held during November 2019. Since the ADF ARRTS inception in 2015, over 180 members have participated in the program. All participants are mentored in their particular creative stream by a civilian subject matter expert. On 6 June 2019, the Showcase event was the culminating activity of the ADF ARRTS 19.1 program. The participants performed for VIPs, friends and families at the University of Canberra’s Inspire Centre.
